Eliran Yihye
Founder and Lead Engineer
Eliran Yihye is the founder and lead engineer of Zmanym. He designed its calculation core: a dependency-free engine that applies the NOAA solar equations in process and returns about 89 zmanim per day, so no request waits on a third-party service. He built the location layer, where every city carries its own IANA time zone and a postal-code lookup resolves to a city, and he pinned the candle-lighting rules: 18 minutes before sunset by default, 40 in Jerusalem. He set up the accuracy gate that compares every computed time against captured Hebcal responses for 10 cities across 60 days. He also leads the native iOS app, written in SwiftUI with home-screen widgets and an Apple Watch app, and the Next.js site and public API behind it. He founded Cuanto Labs, the studio behind Zmanym.
